-Veel relatief kleine (niet krachtige) apparaten die allemaal een klein stukje verantwoordelijkheid op zich nemen en goed zijn in wat ze doen. Los gekoppeld via TCP/IP. Makkelijk opnieuw te installeren en weinig verlies van functionaliteit als er ééntje uitvalt. Door ze aan elkaar te knopen is er relatief eenvoudig nieuwe functionaliteit toe te voegen. Soort van OO of SOA in hardware :-)

+I designed a [[personal technical architecture]] a couple of years ago, it's quite obsolete now. Today I made a more complete [[private enterprise architecture|process/information/application/technology architectural breakdown]]. It's not done yet but getting there.
