Simple 2 channel (or more) sound recording device with footswitches and led-feedback. One channel for my bass amp and one for a simple microphone to add verbal notes to the recordings. Could be as simple as one stereo channel with left for bass and right for mic. Couple this to a machine in my [[architectuur|home network]] and record as pcm wave. Later editing could be done using [[http://audacity.sourceforge.net/|Audacity]]. **Hardware:** * USB connector * bass audio in (instrument level) * mic in (line level?) * headphone out * record switch * mic mute switch * power led * record led **Software:** * Does the rest :) **USB side of things**\\ The audio interface and switches could be all USB. Version with all components except the recording led could be built using an USB audio device, an USB hub and a mouse to use the switches from. Or perhaps one of those massively dumped skype phones?
